Meet Our Leadership

Laura Chirichigno

CEO / CFO

With over 30 years of experience in private industry, including manufacturing, construction, and public accounting, Laura is a distinguished financial leader known for strategic vision and operational excellence. After serving as Chief Financial Officer for more than 17 years, Laura now leads the company as its owner, continuing to drive its growth and success.

A summa cum laude graduate of Saint Leo University, Laura holds both a Master’s in Accounting and an MBA. Her expertise is reinforced by key professional certifications, including Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), and Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF).

Beyond corporate leadership, Laura has been an active contributor to the financial and business communities. She has served as the past Treasurer for the Electrical Apparatus Service Association (EASA) Southeast, President of The Timberline Users Group (TUG), and a dedicated board member for the Saint Leo University Alumni Association.

Committed to professional development and community engagement, Laura is passionate about supporting educational foundations and financial literacy initiatives. When not driving business success, she enjoy sailing, traveling, and giving back through mentorship and advocacy.

Billy Johns

General Manager

Billy Johns serves as General Manager of Southern Winding Service, where he brings more than four decades of experience in the electromechanical repair and motor services industry. Since beginning his career in 1978 as a utility helper, Billy has developed deep technical expertise working as a mechanic, and AC/DC Winder specializing in large motor winding both in-shop and in the field.

Over the course of his career, Billy has held a wide range of leadership and customer-facing roles across motor manufacturers, repair facilities, and industrial service organizations. His transition into sales, service, and operational leadership over the past two decades has allowed him to build strong relationships with customers while driving growth and service excellence.

At Southern Winding Service—a company with roots dating back to the 1940s, Billy plays a key role in overseeing daily operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions to a diverse customer base across multiple industries.

Billy is also a respected industry leader, having served on the Electrical Apparatus Service Association (EASA) Southeastern Chapter Board of Directors and as Chapter President from 2020 to 2021. Also, he presently serves on the EASA International Board of Directors. His long-standing involvement in EASA reflects his commitment to advancing industry standards, technical excellence, and professional development.

Known for his hands-on expertise, leadership, and dedication to customer service, Billy continues to drive Southern Winding Service's mission of delivering reliable, high-quality motor management and rewind solutions while fostering strong partnerships with customers and team members alike.
